Then, without moving the selection, Table>Convert>Text to Table. That re-creates the table. How is it now? I suspect you have nested rows and columns in the table so that whenever you touch a cell, it hits rows you were not expecting. While my tables are long, they are not complicated. For me this problem was only occuring in the last row of a table or the last row of a table on a page for those tables that cross page boundaries. This has little impact on the look of the final document. This does not work, however, for those tables that are too large to fit on a single page. Any other suggestions? Select the entire column you want to move. Press Ctrl+X, this removes the column from the table and copies it to the Clipboard. Move the insertion point to the beginning of the top cell of the column before which you want to place the column you just cut. Press Ctrl+V. Put the cursor in any cell in the row you want to move and press Shift + Alt + Up arrow or Shift + Alt + Down arrow to move the row up or down. The row moves and is highlighted.
